Since 1956, an evolving identity
We are based in Altamura, in the heart of the Murgia upholstered furniture district. It was here, in 1956, that our artisanal manufacturing company was founded thanks to the determination of our grandfather Rocco. A project built on quality craftsmanship, rigor and attention to detail, destined over time to become MaxDivani.
Three generations later, that identity remains unchanged. It has simply evolved.
The determination of the origins, the foresight of the next generation and Mimmo’s vision — which placed product quality and human relationships at the heart of the company — have guided its growth toward international expansion, without ever losing the artisanal soul from which it all began.
Today we are a close-knit team sharing a clear responsibility: to shape authentic design, defined by structure, materials and detail.

Manufacturing culture
Each MaxDivani creation is the result of a blend of diverse expertise: designers, craftsmen, carpenters, metalworkers and upholsterers working together toward a shared goal. The result is a 100% Made in Italy product, carefully crafted from structure to finish, where tradition and contemporary vision coexist naturally.
From the initial cut to the final seam, every sofa embodies the know-how of our master craftsmen. This craftsmenship is the foundation, everything else takes shape: a gentle and embracing soul, leathers and fabrics carefully selected, sartorial details that define its unique character and elegance.
Every project is born focusing on materials. This is how MaxDivani interprets the italian craftsmenship, as method, precision, design and build responsability.
Research and development
From concept to shape
Every model is the result of a study of lines, volume and proportions. Designers turn intuitions into 3D models to check the balance, ergonomics and aesthetic. From the designing we move to the prototype area, to undergo technical testing and optimization. Every detail is tailored , blending utility and aesthetic presence.
